CONNECTING TO THE LAND

WABANAKI JUSTICE INITIATIVE

Keeping Wabanaki people with their loved ones and on their land requires advocacy in all areas of law as well as a robust, integrated, and communities-led infrastructure that can support and facilitate alternatives in and to the Canadian justice system.

This initiative is predicated on a belief that all Indigenous peoples should grow up experiencing joy, beauty, love, support, and nourishment – on their own lands, in or among their own families and communities, with ceremony, comfort, and clean water, speaking their own languages and encompassed by the brilliance of their Elders and ancestors.

More information about the Wabanaki Justice Initiative coming soon.
